Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation (PEO)

In the plasma electrolytic oxidation method, a high voltage source is used to oxidize the surface of the samples. This method, which is mainly used to oxidize the surface of aluminum, magnesium and titanium alloys, produces a very hard oxide-ceramic layer with excellent abrasion and corrosion behavior. The general principles of this method are very similar to that of anodizing, with the difference that the improvement in corrosion and abrasion resistance is much more severe than the anodizing method and can be used for most metals, including the 2XXX aluminum series, which the anodizing method is not beneficial.

Mirab Sanat company manufactures the PEO coating devices in three different categories with different currents including: AC, DC and pulsed DC.  All changes in voltage and current in these devices are continuously monitored by the monitoring system of the device. The technical specifications of this product are given in the following table:
